Tearing is one of the emotional expressions of happiness and sadness. For the slaves, they have the unspeakable hurts, grievances, sorrows, angers, fears...etc.; which haunted them for ages. There are so many of them sobbing day and night and hoping to be free. Crying out loud helps to relieve their pains and sufferings, as every tear has the weight carrying their bitterness and grief.
